Japanese Box Office: May 3–4

This year's ed away last May. It added the equivalent of US$3,219,484 on 335 screens (Box Office Mojo) to its US$14,552,142 total to date. The theatrical version of the Aibo television detective series was the new #1 film.

Shaolin Girl, the loose sequel to franchise for the first time since 1996. The film took in $1,881,080 on 317 screens for a US$7,553,341 total haul.

Suna-dokei (Kamen Rider: Den-O & Kiva dropped again from #7 to #9. It earned US$495,689 on 136 screens to add to its US$5,590,434 total after three weeks.
