Tezuka Cultural Prize Nominees for Manga Announced

Death Note Among the Hopefuls
ComiPress reports that Osamu Tezuka, by awarding four annual prizes: the Manga Grand Prize, New Artist Prize, Short Work Prize, and Special Prize. Each prize includes a statuette, a certificate, and 2 million yen ($17,000, for the Manga Grand Prize) or 1 million yen ($8,400, for each of the other three prizes).
