Anime on the BIG Screen.
The Big Apple Anime Festival (BAAF) has sent out a PR announcing that NBC/Panasonic Astrovision screen in the heart of Times Square for one week, from August 26th through September 2nd.
While the press release doesn't explicitly state which Anime the segments will come from, it does mention "much anticipated World Premiere and Exclusive Sneak Preview titles from Central Park Media." (Central Park Media is essentially the organization behind BAAF).
Later in the PR one of the titles is mentioned by name, but not in reference to the Astrovision screen, "The festival will feature the world premiere the theatrical English dubbed version of "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie," a sci-fi action adventure scheduled for theatrical release by TriStar Pictures in early 2003. At the premiere, Cartoon Network."
