Kare Kano Release Date Announced

Kareshi No Kanejiro DVD volume 1 has been slated for release on May 28th, with the subsequent discs in this 5 volume series to be released over the next year. Kare Kano will be released on DVD only.
Following the recent trend, TRSI is making volume 1 available with an Art Box with room to hold the subsequent volumes. The DVD alone has a retail price set at $29.95, while the DVD + Artbox set is set at $39.95.
At Kris Kleckner at TRSI, "The box design is still up in the air at this point. We have ideas but we're having difficulties finding a company that can do what Jeff's envisioning."
TRSI has not yet released any images of the artbox, so it is unknown if it will have the include a clear sleeve with cherry blossoms printed on it that Jeff Thompson was hopping to release it with.
TRSI was originally expected to release Kare Kano in the Spring of 2001, however the release was delayed (initially until fall 2001, and then spring 2002) because of the complex task of translating and subtitling the series
