Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ iOS App in Japan Restricts s to s Aged 17+
posted on by Kim Morrissy
Sad news for the children who read manga on Shonen Jump's digital iOS Shonen Jump+. As of the most recent update on August 13, s under the age of 17 are locked out of using the app. The app was previously able for s over the age of 12.
s were informed of the change in an update on August 7. The update advised s that all purchased content would still be accessible on the web browser version of the service, but noted that this was only guaranteed for ed s.
Jump+ was home to racier content than the DARLING in the FRANXX, but the irony that a publication aimed primarily at young boys has locked that demographic out of using the app altogether was not lost on its s, who have reacted to the news with amusement.
